Future Generation celebrates the 50th label release with Arcando & Rory Hope
Arcando returns to Future Generation for his 12th release on the label
During the past two years, which have been more or less difficult to each and everyone of us due to the ravaging global pandemic, the mental health and suicide prevention movements have really taken the center stage on social media, and for a perfectly valid reason. More and more artists, ranging all the way from smaller acts to the brightest stars out there, have been vocal and refreshingly honest about their mental struggles, paving the way for the everyday people to do as well. Music has always been there to channel the important, current topics to the masses, and this is the path the trio of talented artists Highlnd, Taylor Kade and Gracie Van Brunt are also following with their upcoming electric bass collaboration.
Backstory on ‘Up Until The Light’: “Elliot (Highlnd) and Gracie had an in-person session together back in November 2021, and as they were going through tracks to write to, they stumbled across one that Elliot and Taylor had produced together. They immediately started writing to it and so “Up Until The Light” was born. The record is a special one to all three artists, as it tells about being there for someone during an episode of mental struggles and suicidal thoughts, while ensuring this person that they won’t be going through it alone until they see the light and feel better again”.
Highlnd, the dark, yet impassioned electronic project by the Los Angeles native Elliot Sorgen, has been establishing himself as one of the frontrunners on the next wave of top-tier bass music dj/producers. His unique production abilities have already taken him to the festival stages of Nocturnal Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, Lost In Dreams and EDC Las Vegas, besides releasing on reputable labels such as NCS, Lost In Dreams and Proximity. The Fellow American dj/producer, Taylor Kade, has also been rapidly emerging on the melodic bass music scene, releasing on outlets like Circus Recordings and Lost In Dreams, in addition to hosting Insomniac Radio’s daily show, “Happy Hour with Taylor Kade” and the “Lost In Dreams”-radio show. Adding to the mix the crazy-talented singer/songwriter Gracie Van Brunt, and her highly distinguishable voice and songwriting, it’s safe to say that the release of ‘Up Until The Light’ is going to be a fresh breathe of air on the vocal-driven bass music scene.
